Stop Smoking Service

No Smoking Day takes place today, March 9, and around a million smokers will try to quit.

Events will be held across the UK organised by a variety of health professionals and stop smoking services to reach smokers who wish to quit.

NHS Blackburn with Darwen Teaching Care Trust Plus has changed the way smoking cessation is delivered in order to offer a more accessible and cost effective service with improved outcomes.

The service is now offered through four Community Pharmacists who have been trained and are already providing specialist one to one support, advice and healthy lifestyle information.  The NRT voucher scheme continues to be available as normal.

It is planned to roll the service out further by training pharmacists and GPs across the borough in order to make it as accessible as possible for service users. 

Clients can ring to book an appointment or call into the pharmacy at their convenience.
