Blackburn with Darwen’s Youth MP is calling on people to make sure they have their say in the upcoming local elections.
At 17, Chris Bleasdale, from Higher Croft, might be too young to vote himself but the Blackburn College student is still urging people who can vote to turn out on May 5.
Chris, who has been Blackburn with Darwen’s Youth MP since being elected by young voters in March, said: "I’m unfortunately too young to vote myself just yet but I think it’s important people turn out on the day so they can have their say on what takes place in the borough."
Graham Burgess, returning officer for Blackburn with Darwen Council, said: "To be able to have your say on what takes place in your borough you need to vote."
