A new site is making it really easy for carers to get more help from family and friends.
RallyRound helps people who want to do their bit for those who care.
Carers invite family and friends into a private support network and add jobs that need doing. Everyone in a support network can see what jobs are waiting for volunteers, what jobs they and others have already volunteered to do, and jobs that have been completed.
RallyRound saves time, make it easier for carers to ask for help and encourage more friends and family to help out.
Councillor Mohammed Khan, Executive Member for Adult Social Care, said: "Carers do a fabulous job. They work tirelessly looking after loved ones. Rally Round is a simple way of letting friends and families help out with caring duties. We all have a responsibility to help those caring for others from the Council and its partners to communities to family and friends."
It's very easy to get started. First, have a look at the RallyRound website to see if it's right for you at www.rallyroundme.com/welcome
There are some videos on the website to help you understand how the system works, as well as a list of frequently asked questions.
The service is free to use, but you'll need to ask the Council to issue you a voucher (access code) first. If you would like a voucher code please email yoursupportyourchoice@blackburn.gov.uk
