Lancashire Police have turned to Facebook to get the don’t drink and drive message out to drivers this Christmas.
The video blog follows the exploits of young driver Robert Lancashire, played by a local University student.
It’s part of getting the message out that drinking and driving wrecks lives and any amount of alcohol affects your ability to drive.
There’s no foolproof way of calculating your alcohol limit, drinking and staying under the limit and it takes less than you might think to become a drink driver. If you drink and drive you’re 30 times more likely to cause a crash than a driver who hasn’t been drinking.
Witn one in six fatal collisions in Lancashire involving either drink or drugs or both (and 35 fatal collision in just ten months this year) it’s an important message.
