Free health checks will be taking place at B&Q on Nova ScotiaRetailPark on Wednesday, April 20.
The checks are available for those aged 35 to 74 who have a GP in Blackburn with Darwen and have not already been diagnosed with heart disease, kidney disease or diabetes.
Health checks include assessments of high cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
They can help pick up on any risks associated with conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and kidney disease, which can sometimes be prevented by improvements or alterations to lifestyles.
The checks at B&Q on Bolton Road will run from 9.30am – 3.30pm.
Discounts on B&Q products are also available for pensioners.
