Have your say on services for people with HIV/AIDs

Commissioners across Lancashire are aiming to streamline social care services for people with HIV/AIDs and want to hear your views.

In the past, services have been funded by grants which has inhibited innovation and developments such as promoting self management, and personalisation and has not really reflected advances in medical treatment to manage this long-term condition.

The aim is to streamline the number of contracts and service providers working in the county down to one single contract, while making sure people still have local access to high quality, comprehensive and fair services. This will increase efficiency and performance monitoring.

If you use these services or have family or friends who do or are a stakeholder -  staff from HIV services, commissioners, partner agencies, MPs and councillors – or a member of the public, please let us have your views.

We need to know about current services, where people’s needs are successfully met and where they are not being met to help with the commissioning process.

How can you take part?

If you would like to take part please send your views to Maggie Leybourne, Room 112 East Cliff County Offices, Preston, PR1 3EA or email them too  Maggie.leybourne@lancashire.gov.uk .

The closing date for submissions is Friday January 28.
