Nominations for women who have made a difference to the community are being sought.
People are being asked to nominate someone from the borough who they feel has done something special.
Women who have gone the extra mile will be celebrated in a special event in Blackburn in recognition of International Women’s Day.
The Blackburn event takes place on March 8 and is being organised by the Blackburn with Darwen Care Trust Plus Contraceptive and Sexual Health Service and Woman’s Voice.
Nominees can be from all walks of life and have done anything from organising activities in their local community to being a particularly friendly lollipop lady.
To nominate someone submit a short statement, no longer than 100 words, about why they deserve to be recognised for their hard work.
Include your contact details and a photo if you have one.
The closing date for entries February 28.
Please send it to Sharon Blanche, Jarman Centre, 53 James St, Blackburn BB1 6BE or email sharon.blanche@bwd.nhs.uk
