Blackburn with Darwen is part of the Sky Ride campaign, aiming to get one million more people riding a bike by 2013.

They’re led by a British Cycling trained ride leader who is on hand to provide support and give you tips on how to improve your cycling, whatever your age or ability.
This weekend, a 13 mile ride across the West Pennine moors will link through Tockholes and Belmont villages.
The ride will start at 10am is suitable for those aged 13 and above. Children aged 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
At 2pm there will also be a nine mile ride along the edge of Belmount Reservoir, taking in the ruins of Hollinshead Hall and with great views of Winter Hill along the way.
This ride is not suitable for children.
For both of these routes, riders need to meet at Roddlesworth Cafe and Information Centre, Tockholes Road.
Bikes will need off-road tyres for both of these rides.
