Residents are being invited to attend the second Annual General Meeting of NHS Blackburn with Darwen Teaching Care Trust Plus, which takes place on Wednesday, September 7.
The meeting, which will see the Care Trust Plus’ Annual Report and Annual Accounts being presented to the Trust Board, takes place between 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
It is being held at the Legends Lounge, Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park.
Sir Bill Taylor, Chair of the Care Trust Plus, said: “The AGM will reflect on a year that has seen many achievements but also seen many changes.
“In many ways it has been a difficult year. Like most NHS trusts and public sector organisations across the country, we have faced tough economic times and there has been uncertainty.
“But despite the challenges we have faced, it has been another year of achievement and success for us.
“Everything we do is for the residents of Blackburn with Darwen – we exist solely to improve their health and wellbeing.”

We commissioned a new GP practice for the Ewood area. The Waterside Surgery, located in the Waterside Health and Wellbeing Centre, opened in July.
The first baby was born at Blackburn’s new birth centre on Park Lee Road
We commissioned extended opening hours in 27 of the 31 GP practices in the borough
A single local dental helpline to make it easier for people to access dental services in borough was set up
People continued to benefit from our free health checks programme
Work continued apace on Blackburn town centre’s new multi-million pound health centre called Barbara Castle Way Health Centre
We met all our financial targets and made savings of £8.9m, which can be reinvested in services.
