Blackburn with Darwen PSU has submitted plans to be hosted by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, in line with the government requirement to separate commissioning and provider services within the NHS from April 2011.
The Strategic Health Authority has now approved the plans in principle and detailed negotiations can now start ready for the change next April.
Subject to all the usual procedures and a full staff consultation, Blackburn with Darwen PSU staff will TUPE into Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust from April next year. There will be further updates in future editions of eGP.
