The Transformational Commissioning Board (aka Practice Based Commissioning) recently discussed a number of important issues. Treatment room is being looked at one more time to see if there is any way that we can improve the offer to practices given the reduced funding and increase in workload – the result will be fed back in the next bulletin. The new smoking cessation LES has now been sent out to providers. A community DVT service and a genetic testing service for autosomal recessive disorders (building on previous research in the locality) are to be developed. Neurology triage and referral processes are to be reviewed with Dr Tidswell and a Healthy Outcomes LES is being progressed.
