Presentations given by the Community Matrons on the initiatives developed to reduce admissions to secondary care – Virtual Ward & Track and Trigger Tool
COPD Innovation – presentation given on a self-management guidance tool for patients with literacy difficulties consisting of 2 CDs to encourage patients at risk to self-analyse. Initiative was supported.
Smoke Free Homes business case not supported.
Alcohol Admissions update given and further discussion to be held at the next GP protected time event.
Future of practice medicines co-ordinator scheme discussed. Scheme to cease on 31 March 2011 and individual practices prescribing budgets to be top-sliced should they wish to continue employing a co-ordinator.
Stroke Association – Information, Advice and Support Service – agreed service should continue.
ADHD Service Provision – agreed to re-commission EL CAMHS until 31 March 2012 and hold a workshop to develop an option appraisal for the way forward.
Pennine-Lancashire Commissioning Board – agreed not to pursue the development of a Pennine-Lancashire Commissioning Board.
NHS Triple 111 Pilot – consultation to be held with all GPs, LMC and further information to be requested from the SHA before agreement made to join the pilot.
Maternity Services Update presented for information.
GP Commissioning update – election process to take place by end of February.
Clinical Transformation Board minutes from December presented for noting.
Operating Framework presented for information.
