Summary of minutes from the Transformational Commissioning Board

February 10 

 

  • NHS 111 Pilot – consultation event being held at the Reebok Centre plus a meeting to be held with Pennine-Lancashire GPs on 14 March.  Decision to be made whether to join pilot following the outcome of those meetings.

  • PCT Cluster Development – proposed Lancashire Cluster discussed.  Views from all GPs to be canvassed once the decision from the SHA was received.

  • Waterside Development procurement would now be progressing.

 

March 3

 

  • Gynae Assessment/Menorraghia –business case and care pathway to be developed for IUS fitting for gynaecological/non contraceptive reasons.

  • Complex Device Therapy/ICD business case – proposal supported in principle for further discussion necessary before decision made.
  • Vascular Services Review – proposal for rationalisation of services agreed.
  • Vascular Health Checks Programme – presentation given on the results and recommendations.
  • NHS Budgets 2011/12 – presentation given on the financial forecast for 2011/12.
  • Mental Health Commissioning support function for GP Consortia – update given.
  • Minor Surgery Enhance Surgery Proposals – Policy to remove benign skin lesions approved. LES/DES now to be updated following discussion with the LMC.
  • Prescribing Budgets discussed – further work to be undertaken.
  • Clinical Haematology – recommended that a LES be developed.
  • Paediatric Very High Intensity Users – support to be given to practices with high attendance rates.
  • Rehabilitation Pathway redesign agreed.
  • Cervical Screening Co-ordinator business case was supported.
  • Community DVT Proposal – work was ongoing.
  • Influenza & Pneumococcal Vaccinations for Housebound & Care Home Options 2011/12 – agreed GPs to deliver vaccine programme.
  • Glaucoma Referral Refinement Scheme endorsed.
  • Pan-Lancashire Commissioning Policies to be presented to all Trust Boards across Lancashire – could be some controversy.

 

March 17

 

  • Future funding proposals for Re:fresh scheme discussed – proposed target to be reviewed.

  • Chlamydia Programme review to be linked to Sexual Health Services re-design.

  • Update on TCS.
  • Domestic Violence Service proposal to continue with scheme agreed.
