The Committee provides NHS Blackburn with Darwen with clinical leadership, working jointly and equally with the executive management team. The key function of the Committee is to support NHS Blackburn with Darwen in improving quality and performance.
The membership of the Committee represents a balance of NHS Blackburn with Darwen Board Directors and Professional Members consisting of practicing clinicians and staff and other representatives may be co-opted onto the Committee where specific pieces of work requiring their skills are to be undertaken.
