The second Annual General Meeting of NHS Blackburn with Darwen Teaching Care Trust Plus has taken place.
At the meeting the Board's Annual Report and Annual Accounts were presented. Sir Bill Taylor, Chair of the Care Trust Plus, said: “The AGM reflected on a year that has seen many achievements but also seen many changes.
“In many ways it has been a difficult year. Like most NHS trusts and public sector organisations across the country, we have faced tough economic times and there has been uncertainty.
“But despite the challenges we have faced, it has been another year of achievement and success for us.
“Everything we do is for the residents of Blackburn with Darwen – we exist solely to improve their health and wellbeing.”
Achievements, which can be found in the Annual Report, include:

We commissioned a new GP practice for the Ewood area. The Waterside Surgery, located in the Waterside Health and Wellbeing Centre, opened in July.
