Public Board Meetings
Government changes to the NHS mean that the Care Trust Plus Board is no longer meeting in its current format. As a result of the Government reforms, responsibility for planning and buying local health services will transfer from the Care Trust Plus to GPs from April 2013. They have formed a Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which will run in shadow form during 2012/13 and it is intended that a CCG Board will start to hold public meetings later this year. Details will be published on this website as soon as they are available. In the meantime, the Care Trust Plus has joined with East Lancashire, Central Lancashire, North Lancashire and Blackpool primary care trusts under the new name of NHS Lancashire to oversee the change. The NHS Lancashire Board holds monthly meetings in public. Click here for more information.
